HOW SAWU POT MADE
Sawu pot 100% made in Bali. We collect coconut waste from the people of Bali. From processing the coconut fibres we have obtained to turning them into pots, we carry out the entire process in Bali. We also empower the people of Bali in the SAWU pot-making process.
1. Sorting the collected coconut fibre.
2. Spraying coconut fibre with our own compostable glue that we make.
3. Preparing glued coconut fibre before it is placed into the roll machine.
4. Flattening coconut fibre using a roll machine for easy cutting.
5. Drying coconut fibre under the sun. This is useful for reducing the moisture content within the coco fibre.
6. Cutting the coconut fibre into pieces using the patterns we have provided.
7. Shaping the coconut fibre into pots using a press machine.
8. Trimming and leveling the pot’s parts to match the size of the pot being made.
9. Applying and spreading our compostable glue to all parts of the pot.
10. Drying the Sawu pot under the sun so that the glue dries and adheres perfectly.
11. Sawu pots ready to be sold.
